We need to know the volume standard e.g. L/dL/mL. Typically you'd see pmol/L for free test and nmol/L for total test, in which case the reference range is much higher for the latter if it were in pmol. You likely had serum test measured in nmol/L and free test in pmol/L. The conversions are as follows:
Serum testosterone is (16nmol/L * 288.42g/mol)/10 = 461.48ng/dL
Free testosterone is (400pmol/L * 288.42g/mol)/1,000 = 115.4pg/mL
Both solid numbers.

Q - testosterone levels in pmol..
Just wondering if anyone has been given their test results in pmol, in ng/dl the number 700 get's thrown out as a good test level, i had a test about 5 months ago and was given results in pmol.
I lost the paper but i remember the total test range was like 8-28 or 8-32 and mine was 16 and for Free testosterone it was a range of 190 - 640 roughly from what i can remember and mine was 400 pmol i think
Anyone know in ng/dl what it equates too.. doctor said they were fine, than when i had a different doctor for a new appointment i asked him why the total test is only 16 he said it's fine, not to worry about it blah blah blah.. that the Free Androgen Index is high or some ****.
Anyone know, cheers. Would want to get another test to check since i lost like 15 lbs since then and eat healthier but hard getting em in Aus gotta provide legit reasons n **** since the government covers it all.
